The Carbon Challenge Syndicate invites corporate sponsors and supporters to participate in a unique, innovative and inspiring combination of premium hospitality and climate change learning-by-doing in the exclusive environment of the Volvo Ocean Race Village.
The Carbon Challenge Guest Experience is designed by leading hospitality, academy and carbon management experts to achieve the highest levels of guest satisfaction while being carbon neutral. The programme is designed to avoid unnecessary carbon emissions while not discounting any aspect of the guest’s well-being. Carbon emissions that can not be avoided are offset by Carbon Challenge at no additional cost to the client.
Your Carbon Challenge Guest Experience is, therefore, carbon neutral.
Our experienced hospitality team has, among other projects, been handling the “Club Goleta” official corporate hospitality programme of the 32nd America’s Cup in Valencia and will be taking care of your guests during their stay at the Carbon Challenge Boathouse.
The mobile, zero-net-energy world of the Carbon Challenge Boathouse offers a variety of areas from welcoming reception to lounge and restaurant sites, seaport terraces and sun decks, and last but not least our Academy rooms.
Your guests will be able to attend our Climate Change Exhibition, and watch local school kids learn and engage in the Carbon Challenge Good Energy Park, producing energy for the Boathouse.
The Carbon Challenge Boathouse Tour will be give special insights into the unique zero-net-energy concept of the building designed and the input of internationally renowned experts such as David Chipperfield Architects and Arup.
The Carbon Challenge catering service will provide you and your guests with local and seasonal specialities, prepared by first class chefs and local suppliers.
The Carbon Challenge Guest Experience will allow you and your guests to experience cuisine of superb quality while guaranteeing a minimal carbon footprint.
The Carbon Challenge Academy team has developed a condensed carbon reduction management training programme for selected Volvo Ocean Race stopovers of the Carbon Challenge sailing team, to be integrated into the Hospitality program.

Carbon Challenge Live Sailing sessions will be operated by skippers and business coaches provided by our partners from Sailing Team. This highly professional management programme using a fleet of twelve identical boats crewed by five will allow you to experience the power of the elements of nature, and learn first-hand how team effort can make a difference in dealing with them successfully.
Our sailing programme offers a unique opportunity to further open your mind to the ultimate challenge of climate change. No prior sailing know-how is required.
Carbon Challenge Team Access is a VIP opportunity to meet our sailing team at the end of your Guest Experience sessions and learn more about their ultimate challenge on the water. This one hour aperitif session will take place in the Boathouse lounge.
