Jacqueline Sasse was born in San Francisco and raised in Switzerland. She and her husband, Uwe live between Zurich and Munich with their 2-year old son Nils, while business takes them to their Valencia-based rental frequently. Jacqueline was appointed as Commercial Director of Eurosport in 1996 to manage the worldwide advertising revenues for the sports TV group and became member of the Eurosport board soon after. She was responsible for a team of 110 people and achieved a record sales result for the channel in the year 2000, shortly before leaving the channel. Enjoying her life for a few years, only working on selected consulting projects in the sports marketing world, Jacqueline started her own sports marketing company in 2004, prince henry marketing services AG in Switzerland. Her company’s main client was Germany’s first America’s Cup team, which she successfully funded in April 2005 by acquiring their main sponsor, United Internet. After leaving this project in the end of 2005, America’s Cup Management appointed her company to co-market Club Goleta (official guest hospitality programme) for the 32nd America’s Cup. Jacqueline Sasse is the CEO of Carbon Challenge Holding AG and also acts as Commercial Director. For the weeks to come, she and her commercial team, supported by the Supervisory Board of Carbon Challenge Holding AG, are committed to identifying and signing up corporate partners that share Carbon Challenge’s vision and wish to contribute to and draw from it.
“I am currently travelling 20% of what I used to, but reducing the flights is making the difference. I will focus on combining business and leisure trips whenever possible and when flights can not be avoided, at least use the appropriate, carbon-offsetting airline. Another area for potential improvementin my business life, will be the choice of taxi vs public transportation in foreign cities. This might require a bit more preparation for my travel-agenda, but will be worth it.” |
