Anne-Marie’s first professional engagement in environmental projects began in Honduras many years ago. She collaborated in various ecological projects in this region and her life philosophy became one dedicated to the protection of our planet.

Anne-Marie holds a master’s degree in art history, Spanish philology and political sciences from the University of Hamburg.

In 1999 she began a career in arts and culture, working for Reinhold Würth, one of Europe’s most important art collectors and a renowned business leader in Germany.

The issue of climate change has also provided the primary motivation to start her own inter-cultural project “ARTPORT_Making Waves” where artists across the world express themselves on the subject of climate change.
Anne-Marie will apply her knowledge, gained from her experience in rasing funding for  and managing diverse environmental projects, to support Carbon Challenge in achieving the corporate funding needed to successfully implement its business plan.

“My carbon footprint result is disastrous, I know. The crazy part is that it is caused by several flights I took in order to implement and promote my international arts project which sensitizes towards the subject of climate change. This year I have already skipped some trips to art fairs and conferences in order to reduce my footprint by at least 30 %. Staying home while being in virtual touch with the world is less exciting but a lot more ecological. Over many years I have been reducing my energy usage, I recycle, I eat macrobiological, nearly no meat, but the flights are the biggest part of my footprint.”
