As of February 2008 Carbon Challenge has launched a campaign to attract both premium partners and official partners to accompany it in its Volvo Ocean Race 2008/09 sailing campaign and supporting on-shore, activation and media activities.  Premium partners will also have prime association with Carbon Challenge in its commercial activities outside the Volvo Ocean Race platform.

Additional opportunities exist for companies to become official partners of Carbon Challenge in the Carbon Challenge Academy and Carbon Challenge Boathouse projects.
