The global warming emergency is one which impacts upon every individual and business on the planet. Unfortunately none of us has the choice of whether to be part of the Race against Global Warming or not. However each of us has the opportunity to play our part in winning the race.

In this Cool Actions zone we profile and track a range of initiatives from the world of Carbon Challenge and around the world which make an exponential contribution to the Race Against Global Warming.

Permanent features of Cool Actions include:

• updates on the development, technologies and use of the Carbon Challenge Boathouse , a zero-net-energy facility which aims to become a benchmark in energy efficiency in buildings. Designated to be a permanent learning facility and sailing team headquarters, it will first serve as a modular, mobile, interactive corporate hosting and learning centre that accompanies Carbon Challenge around the world on its planned Volvo Ocean Race campaign.
