Carbon Challenge Academy Campus

A lead-by-example carbon reduction model

All Carbon Challenge Academy campus facilities and services are conceived on a platform of minimum energy consumption and waste, and maximum possible use of renewable energy sources.  Integrated auditing and advisory services from PriceWaterhouseCoopers ensure we are able to track our carbon performance constantly.

By providing a lead-by-example learning environment, Academy attendees and participants in Corporate Events are able to witness first-hand many of the opportunities to be had from progressive carbon management and how it can become a fundamental pillar for supporting successful business.

It’s a simple enough policy, but effective implementation requires a 360º view of one’s business operations and their impact on our carbon footprint.

Each member of Carbon Challenge Academy’s staff has a role to play in its implementation and the impact of each and every business process we undertake must be understood completely.

Of course this level of shared responsibility and scrutiny not only helps our carbon balance, but also helps us to focus on aspects of quality assurance, continuous improvement and efficiency.

Upon completion of our permanent campus headquarters in the port of Valencia in 2010/11, Carbon Challenge Academy will operate from one of the world’s most advanced and innovative zero-net-energy facilities.

Central to our system of operation is our commitment to purchase Gold Standard Carbon Offsets provided by our partners at myclimate.  All carbon emissions we can not eliminate are offset with payments into flagship renewable energy initiatives.
